Sarah Jessica Parker’s split-toe pumps

Sarah Jessica Parker was mentioned on stylefrizz wearing a split-toe leather pump. while i’m stumped, i’ve found a few pairs for you surfer-wannabes and outdoor seekers.
this pair by “show off” by irregular choice is from their spring 08 collection. i haven’t found a fall update. rather prudish, the next two are more practical (and for what?) than flashy.
speaking of prudish, an interesting thing happens when you google “hooves womens shoes.” this, the combo reached after having surfed: split-toe shoe, split-toe pump, hooves shoes, hooves pumps and nothing. then eureka… hooves. womens. shoes. now folks, i have seen it all.

Do you have what it takes to be a shoe designer?
December 7, 2008
October 21st, 2008
What do Christian Louboutin, Manolo Blahnik, and Giuseppe Zanotti have in common? They are all shoe designers who have elevated their craft of shoe making to a mesmerizing art form. Think you have what it takes to design a pair of shoes?
Get your creative juices flowing and your feet wet, so to speak, at International Shoemaking Design, which offers an intensive 2-day workshop for serious-minded footwear designers to hone your shoemaking skills, learn the anatomy of the foot and construction of a shoe. Upon completion, you’ll have made your very own mule, pump, sandal or boot style. In YOUR size, of course.
Based outside of Cleveland in Rocky River, Ohio, owner Sissy Puccio Aversa, a London-trained shoe designer/maker and certified Pedorthist, will privately walk you through an intensive workshop on what it takes to actually build a pair of shoes.
Revisiting shoe designer Georgina Goodman

Revisiting Georgina Goodman
Fall 2008:
Georgina Goodman’s Autumn/Winter 08 collection has evolved to another level and pushes the boundaries of color (glamorous purples, vibrant reds and pumpkin hues) and it’s use of it. With a sensual mix of texture, hand tinted pony skin and mottled metallic patent meeting nubuck snakeskin and glove leather. Goodman sums up the fall with three simple words: Touch. Passion. Drama.
The Scarf Shoe:
“Our Piccadilly shoe (Hand Made in Mayfair) has been very well picked up by the more fashion forward stores. The hand rolled and stitched scarf is also available as a straight 90 cm square scarf and Piccadilly is available in all of the scarf color ways.”
Goodman on the catwalk:
We created a similar shoe for Erdem (named by TheFashionTime as one of the top 5 London shows) for his catwalk collection for SS09. The shoe incorporates the Georgina Goodman silk hand printed scarf as an ankle strap and reflects the softer mood of many of the more directional Catwalk shows of the season. Goodman also created the SS09 catwalk shoes for Luella.
Old Bond Street Location:
Spring/Summer of 08, Goodman and team welcomed their flagship store on Old Bond Street, London. The store looks as delightful as her collections, and has captured the attention of the likes of Kylie Minogue.
Branding—Made in Love:
All Georgina Goodman shoes carry the mark ‘MADE IN LOVE’ as well as the production point of origin on the sole of the shoe. This serves to communicate the core values of the business.
sex and the city countdown

March 31st, 2008
so here’s a bit of truth. while the crux of sex & the city’s popularity didn’t hit me until i actually lived in NEW YORK CITY, year’s after the HBO series ended ~ it DID finally hit me. i had prided myself, up to that point, on not needing cable. i was no conformist. so whilst some distant lady friends giggled about “last night’s” episode, i pretended i didn’t care.
then, fate and life and the heaven’s brought me to new york city. with a dream gig already lined up, and a sublet waiting, i lived my dream. yet, up until that point, i really didn’t know it was so. it was in new york that i met my lifetime girlfriends. we rarely sat around to watch the by-then tbs sex and the city re-runs. in fact, we were living it!
now that i’m far removed from the east coast… and have truly found my own “mr. big,” i find it’s my girls i miss. the whole series, in my humble opinion, boiled down to the very most amazing friends one is lucky enough to have in this here lifetime.
