while surfing the net for end-of-summer savings, i let my fingers do the walking right on over to shopbop. whether or not you’re ready for fall, they are ready to tempt your tootsies. the emilio pucci green glass patent knee-hi boots are so slick they practically want to slither on over to my closet. the strappy peep-toe givenchy booties with geometric front are so naughty, they’re nice. and the barbara bui belted flats… come to mama. in case i haven’t called out just the three you need to kick-start your fall… surf for yourself.
Revisiting shoe designer Georgina Goodman

Revisiting Georgina Goodman
Fall 2008:
Georgina Goodman’s Autumn/Winter 08 collection has evolved to another level and pushes the boundaries of color (glamorous purples, vibrant reds and pumpkin hues) and it’s use of it. With a sensual mix of texture, hand tinted pony skin and mottled metallic patent meeting nubuck snakeskin and glove leather. Goodman sums up the fall with three simple words: Touch. Passion. Drama.
The Scarf Shoe:
“Our Piccadilly shoe (Hand Made in Mayfair) has been very well picked up by the more fashion forward stores. The hand rolled and stitched scarf is also available as a straight 90 cm square scarf and Piccadilly is available in all of the scarf color ways.”
Goodman on the catwalk:
We created a similar shoe for Erdem (named by TheFashionTime as one of the top 5 London shows) for his catwalk collection for SS09. The shoe incorporates the Georgina Goodman silk hand printed scarf as an ankle strap and reflects the softer mood of many of the more directional Catwalk shows of the season. Goodman also created the SS09 catwalk shoes for Luella.
Old Bond Street Location:
Spring/Summer of 08, Goodman and team welcomed their flagship store on Old Bond Street, London. The store looks as delightful as her collections, and has captured the attention of the likes of Kylie Minogue.
Branding—Made in Love:
All Georgina Goodman shoes carry the mark ‘MADE IN LOVE’ as well as the production point of origin on the sole of the shoe. This serves to communicate the core values of the business.
Rakku Shoe Wheel– Storage Genius

I happened upon an image showing this AMAZING shoe storage system by Rakku Designs– what’s not to LOVE?! You have reasonable visability, Japanese-inspired design, each pair is protected in its own space, and you have the evny of all your friends because your sexy stillettos and posh little pumas alike are whimsically displayed AND very organized. “Rakku” means “rack” in Japanese, paying homage to its Asian roots and there are three varieties available: the shoe wheel (shown), the shoe pod, and the Rakkiddo for kids. DUCK SEASON or ELECTION SEASON 2
December 6, 2008
September 18th, 2008
I know they are a lot of Sarah P Fashionista’s out there. So for you the boot of the season has just arrived from Berny Demore. It is the fashion hunting boot that’sjust hitting the runway and the Bootie version is just as much fun. To stay politically neutral we have for the Michelle O crowd an urban pull on a platform with Croc print as well from Beryn Demore boots. If you are in Cordova, AK hunting Moose for your dinner or Cordova, IL and across the river at Kernan’s Riverview Restaurant having diner you should be in a pair of these Boots. Kylie Minogue hits Georgina Goodman Old Bond Street locale
December 5, 2008
October 25th, 2008
Got a quick note from our friends at Georgina Goodman that Kylie Minogue (though, they sent us simply “Kylie” — first name basis, you know!) sauntered into their Old Bond Street store and bought 5 pairs of extra-ordinary shoes!
“Such a lovely girl… she even posed for pictures with our Store Staff, loving the shoes, kicking her feet in the air and thrilled with the discovery of her “new favourite shoe designer,” offers Bjorg, Georgina Goodman’s International Sales and Marketing Manager.
Recently featured in WWD Accessories, for her fancy cut-out bootie, she also finds time to design shoes for both Alexander McQueen and Italian fashion label Casadei. About her collaborations, Georgina tells WWD, “I love it. It gives me the opportunity to express myself in new and totally different arenas.”
Indeed it seems opening the new store in Old Bond Street is having the desired result in terms of profile, positioning and awareness amongst the fashion glitterati and pubs.
