SHOE TALK with shudiva1973
Q: Why do you love shoes?
My love for shoes stems back to about the age of 5. I used to step into my mom’s shoes to try and walk around in them because they were so pretty. At the time, I remembered saying that when I grew up, I was going to have rooms of pretty shoes so that I could look pretty just like my mommy! My passion for shoes has taken over. I literally turned one of my bedrooms into a “shoe room” so that it mimicks a shoe store; complete with the little bench and big mirror to try them on. I’ve also collected “Just The Right Shoe” collectibles for years. I have EVERYTHING in shoes–bedding, christmas ornaments, dishes, push pins, toothbrush holder, barware shaped like shoes, air freshners–EVERYTHING!!! My door mat in front of my house is a set of two leopard heels!! I am addicted to shoes. I think that even if you have on a not-so-hot outfit, if you have a hot pair of shoes, everything else will fall into place. A shoe says so much about a person. You can NEVER have too many pairs! Shoes make me emotional. I can cry at the drop of a hat if I see a shoe that just blows me away.”

Jessica Bennett “Forli”
Soft crinkle two-tone patent pump with gold buckle and stacked 3 1/2″ heel.
Retail: $125

Q: Why do you love shoes?
A: They are the accessories to an outfit that give it that causual, glam, or sporty edge. I’m short so I love a towering heel and I’m also a healthcare professional so I have a love for cute flats as well.

Q: What is the worst shoe trend of all time?
A: While I’m really open to a lot of shoe designs (because I like to have a choice of uniqueness), I must say I could not get in to the backward heel trend (Marc Jacobs)

Q: If you could design the perfect shoe, what features would they have?
A: The heel of the shoe would have to have an art/geometric design. The outer part of the shoe would be made of leather and the sole of the shoe would be made of black cashmere (trademark like Christian Louboutins) so a woman can be comfortable.

Q: Who is your favorite shoe designer?
A: Christian Louboutin

Q: What shoe trend would you like to see disappear?
