Corso Como opens second boutique in Brazil
December 22, 2008
Corso Como, the newish women’s shoe brand, expands its retail reach with a second boutique in Brazil, its country of origin. The brand, which launched in spring 2006, quickly developed a loyal following of women who desire style, innovation, comfort and value supported by eco-friendly packaging (by using recyclable paper on all packaging they save about 2,000 trees per year).
The 450 square foot boutique located at Barra Shopping Sul in Proto Alegre City designed by local architect Stella Coelhon, is beautifully modern and clean. The native Brazilian wooden fixtures, hand silk-screened wallpaper and palette of grays, gold and crème act as a backdrop for the wonderfully colorful and textured collection of Corso Como footwear, bags, belts, jewelry and eyewear.

“Corso Como’s first boutique opened in Spring 2008 in Sao Paulo and has been
thriving from day one,” explains Carlos Kray, CEO of Strada, the parent company of
Corso Como. The brands’ philosophy is to provide beautifully crafted shoes that exhibit fresh innovations in style, impeccable detail and luxurious comfort, and retail from $98 for sandals to $310 for boots.

September 3rd, 2008
my bff calls and says, “i’m having a camping party for my birthday. you’ve gotta come down! you’ll love my friends.” a guy friend emails, “third annual camping bash, october 1-4. don’t miss it. it’s a great group of people!” what is this? summer’s pretty much over and everybody’s got campers on their mind? it does seem there’s a certain snap in the air, making a weekend outdoors not seem so impossibly hot. ok, i’m game.
i’m especially game when i see
6.pm has ALL THEIR CAMPER SHOES AT $49.95!!! what? i can hardly believe it. that’s… like… waaaaay better than a few burnt smores. at that price, one could pick a few for the get-away weekend. (yes, ladies, even in the great outdoors YOU must have your choices!)
for the gathering of wood, may we suggest the pull-on suede boot, LP-45359.

Dior! ! Dior! Dior! WOW
December 8, 2008
October 3rd, 2008
Suede shoe bootie and pumps with square toes, open toes and funky platforms are what Dior is all about for Fall. These shoes are the combination of modernism with that touch of Retro. Who Is following who? Are the Automobile industries GTO remakes that we are seeing everyone driving watching the footwear business . In the Fashion footwear industry the look is happening. Remember those muscle cars and those wooden Made in Brazil platforms of the 70’s. No matter how hard we try to reinvent the wheel it is still circular. The other odd thing is gas shortages and a possible recession. Interest rate hikes are just around the corner. If I were you I would buy as many pairs as possible before the prices go up.
