SHOE TALK with shudiva1973
Q: Why do you love shoes?
My love for shoes stems back to about the age of 5. I used to step into my mom’s shoes to try and walk around in them because they were so pretty. At the time, I remembered saying that when I grew up, I was going to have rooms of pretty shoes so that I could look pretty just like my mommy! My passion for shoes has taken over. I literally turned one of my bedrooms into a “shoe room” so that it mimicks a shoe store; complete with the little bench and big mirror to try them on. I’ve also collected “Just The Right Shoe” collectibles for years. I have EVERYTHING in shoes–bedding, christmas ornaments, dishes, push pins, toothbrush holder, barware shaped like shoes, air freshners–EVERYTHING!!! My door mat in front of my house is a set of two leopard heels!! I am addicted to shoes. I think that even if you have on a not-so-hot outfit, if you have a hot pair of shoes, everything else will fall into place. A shoe says so much about a person. You can NEVER have too many pairs! Shoes make me emotional. I can cry at the drop of a hat if I see a shoe that just blows me away.”

ShoeStream’s list of shoe gadgets
December 9, 2008
October 14th, 2008
ShoeStream recently posted a list of top-10 tools and gadgets for shoe lovers, and then sent that list to shuzsociety. From lap-top stands to recycled-croc thingy, there’s something for everyone when a “shoe” doesn’t fit.
We found these electric footwear dryers at wishingfish especially intriguing. Crank them up as you head in the shower, and when you step out, your winter shoes will be ready for wear! Imagine them down inside a pair of Uggs? Mmmmm, now that’s toasty! They are currently SO HOT they are SOLD OUT. But keep checking!
Thanks ShoeStream for the lovely list of shoe gadgets!

Dallas’ own LINUS LOUNGE received a veritable avalanche of web activity with recent post “shoe lover opens shoe lounge” in Canadian Press. The article also appeared on The Star Press and Seattle Times, to name but a few.
With an impeccably edited collection of stunning shoes, Linus Lounge provides a brief respite from the hustle of Dallas’ nearby shopping venues. The shoes are grouped together on shelves which sit in front of mirrored walls, or proudly displayed low coffee table. Owner Kristen Radovich has great taste in furnishings, too!
This fall, she offers the casual chic styles of Banfi Zambrelli, wildly interesting wares from Brazilian designer Franziska Hübener and Serbian-born shoe designer Dusica Sacks of Dusica Dusica.

Victoria Beckham NOT IN DSquared2 spiked heels…
December 7, 2008
October 6th, 2008
Our resident shuzmuse sent us this from DailyMail.co. Mrs. Beckham, shopping with her blonde brood at Westside Pavillion Mall in LA, sported a pair of metallic DSquared2 platform pumps with spiked heel.
When we called our contact at DSquared2 to get the name of the questionable platform pump, they said while it looked like theirs, it wasn’t. Hmmm. While we keep looking for the pump-in-question, stop by Zappos to check their collection of
DSQUARED2.
Footnotes for spring 08
December 6, 2008
by Mary Wills
Spring is right around the corner—though hard to believe when parts of the US are getting their reminder that cold IS cold! This shoe season brings a little bit for everyone. There are distinct looks for whichever inner lady you feel like dressing as today. We’ve found you a few springy must-have styles from your favorite shoe designers!
Color is Key
This season’s focus is a strong neutral color base (pale gray, cool white, lemon chiffon and new copper, among others) with a splash of bold color (grass green, sunny yellow and red). Bold color is used as accents in graphic and oversized floral prints, and in bold color blocks. Character and visual details are key to making your splash. Zinc’s suede leather printed “Cassidy” wedge offers a wallet-friendly way to step into spring.
