During the great Presidential election, JustJared exposed Gwyneth Paltrow’s dress at the Two Lovers premier in Paris. While you might have been side swiped by her Antonio Berardi dress, we want to know if you saw her shoes?!
We did!!! And they are none other than Rupert Sanderson’s “KitKat” two-toned ankle bootie.
We LOVE the shoes. You can get them at Linus Lounge — the swanky Dallas boutique famous for it’s finely edited collection of designers no other Big D retailers dare to carry.

High Heeled Art

Ever wandered into an art gallery and saw something that you thought “Wow, that’s how I feel; that’s me” over and over again? Mark Schwartz takes everything I love about shoes (and I think we ALL love something about shoes) and two dimensionally conveys the movement, whimsy, and emotional attachment in a style all his own.
“I have always been fascinated by the shoe: the shape, the movement; shoes create a mood all of their own, they scream sex, they are whimsical and for me they take on another life in my paintings,” says Schwartz. Check out more of his works of sexy shoe art here!

September 12th, 2008
Chris “Ludacris” Bridges just finished his custom Auri Footwear designs and will be wearing them to all of the major red carpet events in the coming year in addition to an appearance as host of TRL, sporting some really cool kicks.
Auri Footwear also just finished working with William Shatner last week in designing his RCR “Red Carpet Ready” silver edition Auri shoes, custom made for his “presenter” appearance on the upcoming Emmys later this month.
All of the celebrity shoes accumulated throughout the year will then be auctioned off to raise money for charity at the world wide Bonham & Butterfields auction events.
I heart rupert sanderson for making the “xanadu!”
December 5, 2008
May 30th, 2008
while surfing the internets for shuzsociety’s june “shoes of the day,” i found this pair by rupert sanderson appropriately named “Xanadu.” seems i just can’t escape references to this little movie. as a girl, i wanted to be Olivia’s “kira,” especially in those glowing slouchy boots she wore on the album cover. she was angelic. a muse to many.
as an adult, i’ve seen the movie again and was at the opening night it made its way on broadway. yes, the movie kind of stinks and the play was way campy. but back then i was mesmerized by its special effects and rockin’ jazzy soundtrack. it was then the ultimate skate flick. besides, i kind of had a crush on “sonny” with his frayed denim cut-off shorts and long, tube-socked legs. i have no idea!
net-a-porter is having a hot little sale on their “Xanadu” studded mirrored metallic T-bar sandals with 100mm heel. they were $740 but now they’re $370. get this, they come with an extra studded T-bar in black… this for you ladies who prefer the naughtier Oliva in Grease, when she’s painted in leather pants and rubbing up on Travolta.

Sarah jessica parker likes shoes more than sex?
December 5, 2008
August 21st, 2008
while surfing for my new favorite shoes recently, i briefly skimmed over a story that sarah jessica parker’s squeeze had cheated on her. and i’d seen another post where someone blasted that matthew broderick hadn’t amounted to much since portraying ferris bueller… and i ask, have you not paid any attention to life outside your bubble? oh, i digress.
i like totally remember square pegs and i’ve totally enjoyed that sarah (SJP for those in the know) made a venerable comeback in sex and the city: the movie and the series that started the shoe craze in the first place. i for one, never root for celeb couples to break up. seemingly good ones, that is. actually, i for one don’t really care one way or the other. that’s their biz. do your thing celebrity people. i. don’t. care.
but on this dreary, rainy morning i read an email from my “shuz muse” who sent the following article “Sarah Jessica Parker says Shoes Are Better than Men & Sex.” he then piped in that he enjoyed the comments just as much. taking a moment to skim them too, they did provide a chuckle. you’re 50/50 on whether shoes win vs. a man. the gist is her original “shoes are better than sex” comment was twisted from her character “carrie bradshaw,” who with help from ingenious stylist patricia fields secured a few footwear designers places on the fashion map. and that is the truth. like, for sure.
Cindy McCain ~ her shoes for the campaign trail…
December 5, 2008
September 1st, 2008
Now that the Republican National Convention is upon us, we’d like to offer Mrs. Cindy McCain a few showy shoe options for her noticeably sophisticated style. She’s not one to sway far from a well-defined suit, and loves (loves!) her flashy pearls. On the campaign trail, she often steps out in nude colored classic pumps and has been spotted in a classic cap-toe ballet flat from Chanel.
In a recent Salt Lake Tribune interview, shoe expert ”Miss” Meghan Cleary says of Mrs. McCain’s propensity towards high heels, ”the heel is solid, not a stiletto. The choice tells me she wants to be on stable ground… She’s always in heels. It must be the former beauty queen in her.” She AND veep hopeful Palin. shuzsociety has compiled a group of shoes we’d recommend on her campaign trail.
