Kelly Ripa’s first High-Heel-A-Thon in NY’s Central Park

TV’s teensy tiny Kelly Ripa is gearing up for the first “Live With Regis and Kelly’s” High Heel-A-Thon to be held Wednesday in New York’s Central Park. Headlines say she’s donning 5-inch heels. That’ll make her at least a foot tall, don’t you think?

Anywho, the 150-yard race will benefit the March of Dimes, with the winner making a quick $25,000. She adds, “Women never wear heels for men. We wear heels for other women. It’s not about you guys.” True. But we sure wish Regis would wear a pair of spiked heels FOR US!!! Stay tuned, perhaps he will!

One Great Boot to CHOO On

I have been talking about this being a great Boot year and this Boot has to be part of the conversation. Jimmy Choo did a group of bags and shoes that coordinate. The real surprise of the collection is the boot and bag coordinates. I think the boot is simple and it is timeless but just edgy enough. The collection is the progression of timeless style and fashion with sexy new and retro check me out written all over it. Ludacris to sport Auri Footwear on the Red Carpet

Chris “Ludacris” Bridges just finished his custom Auri Footwear designs and will be wearing them to all of the major red carpet events in the coming year in addition to an appearance as host of TRL, sporting some really cool kicks.

Auri Footwear also just finished working with William Shatner last week in designing his RCR “Red Carpet Ready” silver edition Auri shoes, custom made for his “presenter” appearance on the upcoming Emmys later this month.

All of the celebrity shoes accumulated throughout the year will then be auctioned off to raise money for charity at the world wide Bonham & Butterfields auction events.

New Movie “Dear John” Footwear

For all you movie lovers the follow up to “The Note Book” is being filmed here in Charleston. Shooting starts in the next week. One of my great customers Dana Campbell is in charge of wardrobe. She came to me for shoes for one of the stars in the movie. I don’t know which one yet but Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried are in it. The story line takes place over a time period in all the characters lives so we see a young girl that grows up and goes off to college. Since actresses don’t age years in the time it takes to shoot the film wardrobe has to help by making the charcters seem to grow up through the clothing and footwear they are filmed in. My recommendation for Dana was to use one of this years best ballet flats from Tods. Why those shoes you must be thinking? They are the look that can be worn at any age. If you wear them with a cheerleader skirt or to a sophiticated evening at the Plaza you would look perfect. Watch for them in DEAR JOHN.
