DUCK SEASON or ELECTION SEASON 2
December 6, 2008
September 18th, 2008
I know they are a lot of Sarah P Fashionista’s out there. So for you the boot of the season has just arrived from Berny Demore. It is the fashion hunting boot that’sjust hitting the runway and the Bootie version is just as much fun. To stay politically neutral we have for the Michelle O crowd an urban pull on a platform with Croc print as well from Beryn Demore boots. If you are in Cordova, AK hunting Moose for your dinner or Cordova, IL and across the river at Kernan’s Riverview Restaurant having diner you should be in a pair of these Boots. Fishsticks3.com is coming !!
December 6, 2008
September 25th, 2008
This is a new pattern from Fishsticks3.com that will be up and available in the next few days. I found that these are made the old fashioned way with a latex compound in the sole for grip and comfort then they add the light-weight removable orthodic insole for extra comfort. I have seen the men’s regular converse and the John Varvatos designer converse at $95 and we have the Prada version coming. These shoes for $50 to $60 dollars are incredible bargains They are hip and functional for skaters. The best part are the colors and themes available. Watch for the online shop. It’s coming.
Fun and FUNKTION are what these shoes are about. Not only do they make your feet feel good but they can lift your spirit. They are available in unisex sizing Boy’s 3 to men’s 12M /Girls 5 to women’s 14 M.

Phil LaDuca ~Broadway’s shoe-designer to the stars!
December 5, 2008
September 4th, 2008
LaDuca shoes.
you may not know it, but you’ve seen this man’s shoes. he’s been making them for some of broadway’s brightest stars for more than a decade. think we’re kidding? the shoes of Phil LaDuca have starred in Wicked, Chicago, The Producers, Mamma Mia and Hairspray. they’ve even danced their way on the feet, via the world famous legs, of “The Rockettes” in Radio City Christmas Spectacular. we’ll get to his celebrity roster shortly.
yes, Phil LaDuca, noted former Broadway dancer and choreographer, and quite possibly the undisputed king of Broadway dance and movie musical shoes, is finally breaking into high fashion with his newest line, LADUCA. “They reflect the fun and spontaneity of LaDuca’s theatrically inspired designs,” offers Leslie Riddle, an ex Rockette and footwear industry professional, who has partnered with Phil LaDuca for this venture.
shuzsociety had a chance to meet up with Phil and Leslie in Vegas, where they debuted their collection at The World Shoe Association. we needed to see for ourselves what the fuss was about. the collection is tight. there’s not a ton of fuss, or a lot of muss, his designs are specifically deliberate. LaDuca offers the first flexible character shoe. each shoe, handmade in italy, originates in theatrical design and incorporates Poron® and antibacterial memory foam. as we fondled each of his shoes, we could “feel” the difference. the first collection offers platforms, polk-a-dots, and beautiful metallics. this one fire-engine red metallic peep-toe pump with golden piping, OOOOMMMMGGG! it. is. simply. stunning.
another pair, below, he specifically made for Bette. yes, THAT first-name-basis Bette… Bette Midler with her “showgirl must go on” vegas act. his shoes are a favorite of other leading ladies too: Catherine Zeta-Jones, Uma Thurman, Meryl Streep, Brooke Shields, and so on. his non-fussy space off 9th avenue (between 39th and 40th), in manhattan allows his clientele easy access to his custom designs.
phil was happy to show us around, happy to answer our questions. “I’ve always been a rebel,” he adds, “I make elegant shoes for real women who have to keep their heels on all night long!” as we hug and say our goodbyes, Phil smiles and says, “I’m having fun ladies, I’m having fun!”
5-inches is the new black - heels rise to new heights

5-Inches Is. The. New. Black.
It was just a year ago that shoe designer Christian Louboutin and filmmaker slash photographer David Lynch paired for a captivating collaboration celebrating our footwear “Fetish”, with a handful of one-of-a-kind extreme, arguably erotic shoes. Then we saw the towering “IT” shoe, the Yves Saint Laurent Tribute sandal with its sculpted and tapered platform sole flaunting an attitude as bad as the heel was high. Innovative shoe designers from Nicholas Kirkwood to Gil Carvalho went vertically voluminous on us.
We knew it wouldn’t be long before our (other!) favorite shoe designers would rise to the occasion to give us more of what we want. One doesn’t even have to worry, “do these make me look like a stripper?” That’s kind of the point. And it’s totally hip. From 4” heels to 5″ plus (plus!) shoe designers are letting us be naughty little good girls. And they’re tempting us with decadent leathers in polished patents and metal hues, and carving the heels up in mouth-watering shapes. Here come our favorite fifteen…
