Shoe News Travels Fast…
January 2, 2009 · Print This Article
Having just returned home from a post holiday shopping spree, I quickly nestle myself with my laptop. The “shuzmuse” sends me a link to a NYTimes mention about several thousand pairs of shoes that were mysteriously dumped on a Miami expressway. No one had stopped to claim them.

I immediately think of the good people at Soles4Souls and send Founder and CEO Wayne Elsey an email; “Happy New Year… And BTW there’s some shoes in Miami you may need.” Within one minute, from Wayne’s blackberry comes; “Thanks. Check out our site. We are on the way there.” Soles4Souls has a team on the way to Miami to pick up the shoes, and will distribute them to needy people in Haiti.

And now a video clip of the footage…. footage. LOL.
