During her work for influential magazines such as i-D and Elle, Georgina Goodman realized that what she really wanted to do was create. With this in mind, she enrolled at Cordwainer’s College, London, before graduating in 2001 with an MA in Womenswear/Footwear from the Royal College of Art, London. Goodman went on to open her showcase store in the heart of Mayfair, offering couture shoes and accessories in her unique signature style. Her perceptual clarity and understated luxury won the hearts of her discerning clients and the acclaim of the fashion media.
Georgina’s passion for design coupled with her energy and vision to create directional contemporary work was expressed in her first Ready to Wear collection of Women’s shoes and accessories for Spring/Summer 2004 and has continued with a steady pace. Her design philosophy is straightforward:
“We come at shoes fresh, from pure aesthetic, from design. We come at shoes from the pencil rather than the making machine. This gives us freedom,” offers Goodman, “I love shoes. Women love shoes. I love their form and shape. I love how they hold you and support you and serve to ground you. Shoes have a special voice, a universal language understood by everybody, every woman.”
