Jessica, Fergie, Kate or Adriana: Who Wore the Best Shoes at the ESPY Awards
July 31, 2011
Justin Timberlake Hosts ESPY Awards in LA

The NBA-champion Boston Celtics won the team award at the 16th annual ESPY Awards in Los Angeles last night. The Celtics won an unprecedented 17th title in June with a victory over the LA Lakers. A-List celebs turned out in droves for this splashy red carpet. Red carpet whore Zac Efron was quick to “huddle” up to David Beckham in one of the best photo ops of the night. We’re sure Perez blew a load at the sight of the pretty boy he’s affectionately dubbed “Zacquisha” in print.

Justin’s girlfriend Jessica Biel puzzled ShoeMinx with this “Are You Hiding A Hickey?” ensemble. This is not Jessica at her toe-cleavage bearing best.

Fergie was working the red carpet with a pair of interesting medallion-embossed T-strap sandals. When spotted by ShoeMinx, Fergie often looks like she’s itching to pee. Looks like she had her bathroom breaks all sorted last night…

Then the stunning Sophia Bush rolled in and stole the spotlight in this gorgeous chocolate silk dress and peep-toe pumps.

Kobe Who? Adriana Lima made us all forget about the Celtics and the Lakers when she appeared in a smokin’ black mini-dress and platform T-strap pumps by Yves St. Laurent. That is one hot woman.

Click here to buy these YSL Tribute Shoes at Sak’s Fifth Avenue.

ShoeMinx would have to hand the best shoes of the ESPY Awards to Kate Walsh. Can anyone guess who designed these “Cinderella” sandals? Stay Tuned to ShoeMinx, we’ll do a follow up post on the weekend.

The Duchess Keira Knightley Does Vogue in Louis Vuitton, Balenciaga and Prada
July 19, 2011
Sexy Fall Shoes to Set Your Season To
As if we needed one more reason to wish we were Keira Knightley…we here at The Daily Pump are positively green with shoe envy ever since spotting the fabulous Ms. Knightley sporting an unbelievable assortment of shoes in September’s Vogue. Everyone’s favorite period-piece actress ditched the corsets and eighteenth century gowns for a gorgeous modern-fashion photo essay shot in Berlin titled, “Wanderlust,” by famed photog Mario Testino.
In addition to wearing scrumptious Prada dresses, Balenciaga cocktail attire, and spectacularly embroidered pieces by Dries Van Noten, the British beauty donned unreal high heels by designers like Louis Vutton, Balenciaga and Prada, proving that she is more than just a pretty girl in movies: she is a pretty girl who has balance. Above it’s Balenciaga and below, gorgeous Louis Vuitton black pumps.
So let’s get this straight, not only does she get to kiss Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, and James McAvoy (we love you, Jimmy!) but she also gets to look incredibly siren-esque in designer heels we can only dream about? Like these killer sculptural Prada shoes.
Keira’s new film, The Duchess, is set to be released this month to a much anticipated audience. And while we can’t wait to see her back in the powdered wigs and hoop skirts we fell in love with, we are hoping she starts making more modern movies. Because as she proves in her “Wanderlust,” photo shoot, she is even more gorgeous in fashion-forward ensembles.

Madonna: Wears Chanel ‘Revolver’ Pumps To Celebrate Her Newly Single Status
July 16, 2011
Madge re-invents herself. Again. This time, as a divorcee.
After almost eight years together, Mr. and Mrs. Ritchie proved themselves susceptible to the infamous seven-year itch and are walking away. And just as rumors swirled about a split months ago, whispers now point to the absence of a prenup. Would the Material Girl really be so vulnerable with her assets? You would think that the Sean Penn experience would have made her more of a cynic. Perhaps not.
Should we have seen it coming? Perhaps the shoes say it all. While some may see them as a nod to Ritchie’s film “Revolver,” ShoeMinx interprets her recent heels as the perfect goodbye statement. Boots may be made for walking, but these Chanel revolvers (aptly called “Miami Vice” by Lagerfeld) are the ultimate fashion farewell.
While she joked they weren’t loaded, it’s easy to conclude that the following months will be full of sharp-shooting lawyer-speak. Prepare yourselves for Alex Rodriguez murmurings and Kabbalah references. And keep your eyes fixed on Madge. She’ll be bringing it to the next level.
The shoe is to be sold worldwide next year at a so far undisclosed price tag. Madonna is not alone in choosing controversial accessories. Last month Lily Allen was criticised for wearing a pendant in the shape of an AK47 rifle. Evangeline Lilly *Heart* Greenhouse @ 99 Sudbury
July 15, 2011
Afterwards Premiere Party Gets Groovy to The Misshapes and the Eco-Bliss of 360 Vodka

Evangeline Lilly stars in the movie, Afterwards, with John Malkovich and Romain Duris. The supernatural thriller is directed by Gilles Bourdos and was shot in Montreal and New York. The stunning Lost beauty walked the carpet and settled in to enjoy cocktails at Greenhouse @ 99 Sudbury. Orchestrated by the same brain trust behind NY celebrity hot spots Home and Guest House, Greenhouse is the hotly anticipated eco-friendly club concept that will put green nightlife on the map in the Big Apple.

Greenhouse, priding itself on being a forward-thinking company, has made a huge impact on celebrity enthusiasts and supporters. Models Carmen Kass and Jessica Stam drew attention to this ground-breaking idea in nightlife by hosting a party at Paris Fashion Week, which drew A-list stars like Bruce Willis and Mary-Kate Olsen. Greenhouse’s TIFF presence continues the popularity and gravitas of this “on message” concept as Afterwards director Gilles Bourdos and new hottie on the scene and Lilly’s co-star Romain Duris entertained industry elite on 99 Sudbury’s stunning terrace. At the rate this message is spreading, we won’t be surprised if Obama himself doesn’t cut the red ribbon at Greenhouse’s upcoming opening in New York.

Guests enjoyed premium spirits in the form of eco-luxury vodka brand 360 Vodka. The Missouri-based company uses locally grown grains resulting in reduced fossil fuel consumption in transporting raw materials to the distillery. The company also uses a variety of advanced filtration and drying processes which reduces their overall carbon footprint. Perhaps most innovative is the box their vodka is shipped in. The shipping box is made of 100% recycled cardboard and is designed to be re-used by consumers.
Forget the cold sweat and toxicity of the ol’ frathouse standby Iceberg (Yech) and RedBull. The new drink of choice for health-conscious celebs is 360 and Vitaminwater. We recommend the combo of 360 Vodka and Power-C Vitaminwater. The Greenhouse @ 99 Sudbury bartenders, ever up on the lingo, actually smile when you say “360 and Power-C”. We like!
With smart advertising, sleek bottle designs and a huge variety of flavors with hip, lowercase names - “endurance,” “power-c” and “vital-t” - this is a healthy alternative to the crowded field of nutritionally dubious “energy drinks”. Even 50 Cent sponsors the drinks with his own flavor, “formula 50,” and celebs such as Kelly Clarkson and Shaquille O’Neal also promote Vitaminwater.

When the sexy-as-all-hell Leigh Lazark of the The Misshapes started her DJ set, all bets were off. The TIFF Utopia known as Greenhouse @ 99 Sudbury became social ground zero - eco-elevated nightlife, good vibes, a coltish crowd and sinuous tunes to groove to.
Lindsay Lohan Rocks Diddy’s Yacht Party in Gold Open Toe Pumps
July 9, 2011
What trumps DJ Samantha Ronson as the “must-have” French Riviera accessory?
A pair of sky high, peep toe gold pumps!
At Sean Combs’ annual Cannes Yacht party, Lindsay Lohan “rehabilitates” a tacky gold tutu dress by rocking it out with a sweet pair of pumps.
We like this similar style, designed by Apepazza
So take it from Li-Lo… Go ahead and wear your crazy ballerina skirts, just not with matching ballerina flats!

The Daily Pump Rolls Out the Red Carpet for Valentino Premiere Party
June 8, 2011
New Documentary Presents the Inner Rituals of A Style Icon
You Heard it Here First: Legendary fashion designer Valentino officially announced last night that he plans to start designing costumes for opera and ballet.
The documentary about his career and relationship with Giancarlo Giammetti had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival last night. Once the credits started to roll, the standing ovation began, lasting until the screen went black. In a brief question period with director Matthew Tyrnauer, Valentino expressed his gratitude to the audience.
“I have had standing ovations before but never like this one,” he said. “I liked the film better in here than every other time I’ve seen it.”
Being in front cameras isn’t exactly new to iconic designer Valentino - he did have a cameo in The Devil Wears Prada, after all - but with this new documentary that’s all about him, the taste-maker is now the star of the show.

TheDailyPump.com had the pleasure of hosting the official premiere party of Valentino: The Last Emperor at Greenhouse at 99 Sudbury. Model Monika Schnarre glamed up our step and repeat board in strappy gold Valentino sandals. Fashion Television host Jeanne Beker looked fabulous in a killer pair of Valentino platform pumps.

FT’s Glen Baxter worked the mic for great red carpet sound bytes from Valentino. Inside the party, Louche modern day dandies mingled with pretty girls in fanciful hats; champagne and dangerously delicious “Valentini” cocktails circulated a spectacularly turned out VIP room. The combination of a strong cinematic line up, impressive musical talent, gorgeous clientele, sumptuous catering and a stunning urban oasis setting establishes Greenhouse at 99 Sudbury as the hottest venue in town.

The party delivered a unique blend of glamour, style and hedonism under a stunning starry night, played out against a Utopian backdrop of evergreen trees and alcoves of intimate cloisters. New York legal impresario Steven Beer, partner at Greenberg Taurig, dropped in with David Dinerstein of Lakeshore Films. Eagle Vs. Shark producer Emanuel Michael, President of Unison Films, rounds out this photo op with Si Si Penaloza, Editorial Director of TheDailyPump.com.

Katie “Jordan” Price Walks on the Wild Side in Uggs
August 25, 2009
What, No Product to Pimp in Some Crazy Getup? We Almost Didn’t Recognize You!
Believe it or not, this is the best glamour girl Katie “Famewhore” Price has looked in forever. There’s no migraine-inducing pink, visible boob or threat of an accidentally-on-purpose flash of her business. Based on those sub-par standards, this is a wee sartorial success. Like if Lindsay Lohan wore pants instead of leggings for even a second. WE GET IT LINDS. You are a walking billboard for your line of ridiculously overpriced leg coverings. Just because you put them on one leg at a time doesn’t qualify them as pants, you know. Anyhoo.
On the other hand, Katie’s leopard leggings are eerily reminiscent of Aunt Lill down in Boca smoking unfiltered cigarettes, drinking a little afternoon pick me up of gin and juice. What? Like your family is so perfect. And paired with boots that put the “ug” in fugly? While we give a point to Katie for putting the girls away, she loses approximately 100,000 points for the hideous footwear. A cute ankle boot or a tall riding-style boot (no, not the pink ones from your equestrian line, Jordan), like these by Franco Sarto, would have been a HUGE improvement.
Does anyone know when Katie’s visa expires and she’s recalled back to England? Between Paris Hilton, Bai Ling, Phoebe Price and the entire Kardashian clan, we’ve got more than our fair share of premiere seat fillers on this side of the pond already, thank you very much.

You Got It, Dude: Mary-Kate, Ashley Olsen Launch Elizabeth + James Shoe Collection
June 7, 2009
Pint-Size Designer’s Leave An Even Bigger Fashion Footprint
Tiny twosome Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have teased us for months with news of their first-ever shoe collection, a collaboration with Steve Madden. “Design aesthetic” this. “Style philosophy” that. Yeah, yeah show us something, already!
Mary-Kate gave us a taste of their designs when she sported a promising prototype (try saying that three times fast) at Fashion Week. It was cute with a hint of the unexpected, just what you’d expect from the blonde titan who regularly outfits herself like a slightly mad Himalayan Sherpa just to grab a venti latte at Starbucks.
So, behold. Their Elizabeth and James shoe collection hit stores recently and we are . . . under-whelmed. Objectively it’s fine. It’s a mix of trendy and traditional silhouettes at a relatively reasonable price ($195 to $500). Well, reasonable compared to three-digit couture, anyway.
We had high hopes for a “oooh, pretty!” inhale. But instead of a Alexander McQueen-esque edge meets Betsey Johnson WTF-ness, the line is a bit “hmmm, where have I seen that style before?”
Take a gander:
Mary-Kate’s been spotted rocking these suede flat gladiators so they’re definitely downtown-darling approved but they’re also the newest residents of Meh-ville, in our humble opinion.
And these menswear-inspired moccasins. MOCCASINS. The word alone offends us, never mind what they look like.
The look are missing something: like, a slew of buckles and zippers and cutout details. And . . . feathers. Yeah, that would have been AWESOME. Or at least visually interesting. It’s as if deciding which over-sized layer to mix and match with which bedraggled, too-long pair of pants zapped Mary-Kate and Ash of all their creative energy.
That said, some looks did catch our eye:
What size queen couldn’t use four extra inches of fabulous? We j’adore the ‘Haley’ slingback strap and the sexy arch of naked foot these reveal.
And if you’re drooling over the season’s fetish footwear look, but aren’t ready to fork over big bucks for shoes like Louboutin’s ‘Differa, ‘Luella’ is a brilliant alternative.
Word is, the Olsens will stick with Steve Madden for another shoe collection next season.
Are over-the-knee boots on the way??
Sleek, sexy and sky-high. Make a statement without saying a word in these BCBG slingbacks.
