Ped Holiday 25% off code

December 22, 2008

I should have known Ped Shoes would make the Holidays a little brighter! Last week I received an e-mail announcing that all full-price items (yes, that includes much-coveted Fiorentini + Baker boots) receive a 25% discount when the code “Holiday 2008″ is entered on the final page of checkout. Wow, that might not deck the halls, but it sure is going to help deck my closet (er, I mean, my “friend’s” closet)!! Plus, Ped just got in the mid-calf Cydwoq Campus boot I got last year (and love) in an amazing new combination of leathers. Check it out:

I love that burnt-out paisley pony! Wow. But then again, Ped also got in the fab Fiorentini + Baker Eli boot in a new color, grey ice, which I’m also thinking about (a little too much–shoe obsession, what to do?):

Hmm, I’ll put ‘em both on my list with a note to my potential gift-givers to be sure to enter Holiday 2008 at Ped’s checkout. And if I get a little cash-o-la, the discount is good until Dec. 31, so… a girl can dream…

“Sweet Treat” discount at Pedshoes.com

December 5, 2008

Hey, I just discovered something that made my shopping heart sing! If you visit Ped Shoes and mouse over “Be Sweet to Your Feet” at the top right of every page, it changes to “Sweet Treat,” which you can click to get to a shoe that’s 20% off! Supposedly, the special will change every week. (Note: Right now, it doesn’t appear that the trick works on Ped’s first page, but if you navigate to any other page, it does!) Check it out! Here’s the cute boot–Cydwoq’s “Sin”–that’s on special this week:

In praise of the tall boot

October 21, 2008

I know ankle booties are all the rage this season (bought a couple pair myself), but in my book, nothing beats a beautiful knee-high boot. Here are a few that have caught my eye.

First up, Coclico’s Obama boot, which I think is beyond chic:

Cydwoq is OBC (offbeat, beautiful, and comfortable)

was “window shopping” at my beloved Ped Shoes last night and discovered several new styles just in from Cydwoq that really rocked my shoe-loving world. So, I have to share:

Chie Mihara love story

September 20, 2008

Although I’ve put in my time in heels, until I discovered Chie Mihara I never found a pair that I could literally wear all day without watching the clock for when I could take them off. But then Chie Mihara entered my life, and everything changed. Last year I bought this shoe, which, alas, is not available this year:

I couldn’t resist its tough girl/bondage edge and so decided to shell out the $$$. Well, I have worn it and worn it and worn it. As an art writer, I go to a lot of gallery openings, and I can stand in this shoe and schmooze for hours without my dogs even beginning to whimper. They are THAT comfortable! I now regret that I didn’t get go on and buy an eggplant suede lace-up that was in last year’s line –it would have been money well spent.

Anyway, here are a couple Chie’s I’ve been eyeing this season, both available at my beloved http://www.pedshoes.com. (Quite a few stores carry Chie Mihara, but I always like the colors they go for at Ped.)

This one’s called the Nanaya:

And this one, my true love, is the Depoi:

End-of-summer steals on some seriously beautiful shoes at Ped!

September 17, 2008

I confess I am a Ped Shoes addict. Ped has the kind of beautifully made, offbeat styles that I am just a sucker for (can you hear the $ being sucked out of my bank account?). Happily, a couple times a year I can catch a deal there–like right now. Ped’s summer stock, what there is left of it, is way on sale. Of course, it helps if you have very large or very petite feet, but there are still a few beauties left for the rest of us like the first pair below by Alberto Fermani. Here are just a few of the wondrous bargains currently at Ped. And it’s always worth a drool over the new stock, too (speaking of Alberto Fermani, check out his western-style ankle boots while you’re at Ped–I’ll put a picture of those last):
